Simulation Modeling of Manufacturing Systems - One day Hands-on Training Workshop

Simulation refers to a broad collection of methods
and application to mimic the behaviour of the real system,
usually on a computer with the appropriate software. This
workshop emphasises on understanding the basic
concepts on discrete event simulation, designing new
manufacturing systems and improving the performance
of existing systems by identifying bottlenecks. Topics to
be discussed include manufacturing issues addressed by
simulation, simulation software for the manufacturing
applications, techniques for building valid and credible
models, and statistical considerations. Hands-on sessions
will be conducted to build simulation models using Arena
discrete event simulation software.
