About Event

The Boat Club, College Of Engineering Pune, annually hosts its traditional, invigorating festival, REGATTA, wherein enthusiastic students display their talents in various water sports such as Rowing and Kayaking. The fest witnesses a footfall of around 10000-12000 every year and promotes skills, wisdom and confidence in the ability to handle uncalled situations along with fitness and joy.
The event steps into its 91st edition this year on 10th March 2019 and the theme was the show this year is – SOS: Sprit of Sustainablitiy, which resonates with the idea of environmental conservation through sustainable practices.
The show consists of 5 major events, Shell Games, Kayak Ballet, Telematches, Punt Formation and Mashaal Dance which dispaly the fine skills and technique required in the water sports of Rowing, Kayaking, Punting and much more.
The students undergo rigorous training which lasts for a period of two months prior to the event, involving light cardio, push-ups, squats, crunches,ramp running and other intense training workout sessions which push the participants to their limits and tremendously increase their stamina.
