SAMAADHAN: One of its kind national level online social business plan competition by IIM Raipur



India is a country where we have a staggering 179.6 million people living below the poverty line, 287 million illiterate adults and nearly 600 million people with no access to toilet facilities. With the numbers so big, it doesn’t remain only the government’s responsibility to find and solve the riddles behind these disturbing figures.

The Consulting and Entrepreneurship Club at IIM Raipur will present a stage to all the budding social entrepreneurs out there to identify and launch the most compelling social business ideas—start-up enterprises that tackle grave issues faced by billions of people.

The B-plan competition shall be open to all graduate, undergraduate students and working professionals of the country. This is an effort to motivate budding entrepreneurs to crystallize new and innovative ideas to tackle pressing social problems of the society and provide them with an opportunity to interact with experts from industry, management, financing institutes and probable investors.

RULES:

1. The event is open to all graduate, undergraduate students and working professionals across the globe.
2. Each team can comprise of a maximum of 4 members. Single person team is also allowed.
3. Team members can be of different colleges / organizations.
4. Only one person will be the point of contact (POC) chosen by the team and all further communication will be intimated to the person through mail.
5. The teams should register themselves and then submit their executive summaries as a part of the first round.
6. Executive summaries can be sent to cec@iimraipur.ac.in with subject as "Samaadhan 2016 | TeamName_CollegeName/Organization"
7. Final PPTs to be presented in Round 2 should not exceed 7 slides excluding welcome & thank you slides.
8. The teams will be judged on the basis of both elevator pitch and presentations in round 2.
9. Acceptance and rejections of the business plan and executive summary of the business plan are governed by rules and regulations of organizing committee. In case of any conflicts, call of organizers would be final.
