Welcome to The Annual Largest Techno - Management Fest in North Bengal!!

The world is busy welcoming changes, some major, some minor but each one equally exhilarating. Every innovation, every novelty is highly valued in the fast paced world today, originality being the hauler.

We here at the Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College (JGEC) proudly affirm to align ourselves with the changing times; and organize Sristi 2k16, The Annual Techno-Management Festival as an exemplar to showcase our presence in the world of technology. This exclusive annual tech fiesta aims at sparking a flash into the torch of innovation and carry it forward igniting the mind of its bearers.

"Sristi", is a word that brings along many vibrations of the universe. Vibrations that pulsate the mind, nurturing innovation. Vibrations of massive creations. Creations that put down the foundation of advancement and lay the seeds of humanity. In Sristi... conceals the past, the history. In Sristi... germinates and sprouts up the future, the mystery. Handing over the present, the gift. Sristi is the greatest boon bestowed on mankind.

Sristi 2k16 (April 7-10) calls upon budding engineers, technocrats, innovators and technologists to come and join the brigade of competing young minds.

Gaming Events: Need for Speed Most Wanted, FIFA 11, Counter Strike 1.6, Call of Duty.

Management Events: B-Plan, Mock Parliament, Mock Press Conference, Devil’s Advocate, Picture Perception.

Workshop’s(Pre-Sristi): Swarm Robotics (Autonomous Robotics), Ethical Hacking & Cyber Security.

Accommodation

And as for accommodation, accommodation will be provided for free by the Sristi '16 by the Organizing Committee. Just you have to carry the I-CARD and the registration slip with yourself which will be provided to you after the payment. However, accommodation will be provided on the first come first serve basis. Refreshment facility is not included in accommodation.

How to reach Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, Jalpaiguri

Air: The nearest airport is 'Bagdogra' only 65 km from the college campus. Bagdogra is well connected to both Delhi and Kolkata with daily flights by 'Air India', 'Jet Airways', ‘Spicejet’, ‘Indigo’, ‘Go Air’. Bagdogra is also connected to Guwahati with daily flights by 'Jet Airways', ‘Spicejet’ and several other flights.

Railways: The nearest railway station is Jalpaiguri Road (JPE). Connectivity through Jalpaiguri Town station (JPG) or the New Jalpaiguri station (NJP) are also there.

Roadways: The College campus is located along the National Highway 31A and is easily accessible through roadways. NBSTC, CSTC, ITDC and a number of private operators regularly ply buses between the Tenzing Norgay bus terminus at Siliguri and the bus terminuses at Esplanade, Ultadanga and Durgapur. Buses leave from Tenzing Norgay bus terminus for Jalpaiguri at regular intervals of 10 to 15 minutes. Any of these can be availed of to reach Jalpaiguri town. Alternatively, one can board any bus on one of the following routes and be dropped off at the college gate directly.

These bus routes are:

Siliguri - Coochbehar
Siliguri - Mainaguri
Siliguri - Mathabhanga
Siliguri - Falakata
Siliguri – Alipurduar

Alternately, one can also reach either of the two nearby railway stations- Jalpaiguri Town(JPG) and Jalpaiguri Road(JPE). After that, rickshaws can ferry you to the college campus.

A direct bus service run by NBSTC between Esplanade and Jalpaiguri is also available.
