About Event

University Institute of Engineering and Technology was established by Kurukshetra University in 2004 to be developed as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ in order to offer quality technical education and to undertake research in Engineering and Technology.Excelsior, as the name suggests, was organized to provide students a chance to excel at greater level by providing them platform to show-case their talents in field of art, drama, literature and technology. Since its beginning from the year 2008, Excelsior has been organized almost every year including a plethora of technical and cultural events.Slowly the Fest EXCELSIOR has evolved as one of the most looked forward event in northern India with participants from several states.
The three days of the fest are one of the major highlight of an year at college for every student. Its the time when every student, senior or junior, comes together to celebrate being an 'engineer'. If you are a geek, you can find the robots fighting, some really cool projects at the exhibitions, workshops on newest technologies, lectures from some of the best guest faculties and a lot of exciting technical competitions to win. If you want a break from all this, you can watch the dances that may take your breath away, fashionshows that might make your jaw drop and musical performances to make your heart sing. And if thats not enough there are always a number of super-fun, super-exciting informal events underway the whole time for you to participate in.
Along with all the fun, we promote a theme every year that reflects our commitment to the society and nation we live in. Some of them were "Monumnets of India", "Promoting Indian Culture and Indian Technologies" etc. This year with the Make in India rolling out along with several other policies boosting the manufacturing and start up buisnesses in India, the theme " START UP INDIA" is chosen to promote a culture of innovation, confidence and self-reliabilty among the youth.
In short, Excelsior is an experience of a lifetime and we inivite everyone to share it with us.
