About Event

IEEE Omega’16 is the annual inter-collegiate technical festival by IEEE Atharva chapter. It aims at bringing out the true engineers in us, with the help of a plethora of technical events and activities. Every year, we come up with a unique theme to be portrayed in the festival. In accordance to the current need for sustainable development, we have adopted “Smart city” as our theme for our 2016 edition. A smart city uses information and communication technologies (ICT) to enhance quality, performance and interactivity of urban services, to reduce costs and resource
consumption and to improve contact between citizens and government. The festival will focus on various aspects of this very concept, including the much lauded ”Internet of Things”, and developed versions of alternative energy generation, transportation, infrastructure, public
security and smart villages.
