About Event
FootPrints is Gujarat’s largest 3 day National Level Technical Festival, which had its dawn a decade ago. Over the 15 years since its inception, in 2001 by Sir Narayan Murthy, it has been rising in colossal proportions from a mere paper presentation comprising of 30 participants in Footprints'01 to FOOTPRINTS’15 that comprised of myriad competitions, workshops and seminars from the most incurred celebrities, having 23000 participants from all around the country. FOOTPRINTS have strived to nurture and enlighten the engineering minds of the country and have thereby earned the repute of an avant-garde technical fiesta.
Conquering the 15th step towards technical eminence, Footprints X5 presented a mighty array of technical events with online events setting forth for the first time. Footprints X5 witnessed a staggering participation of 23000 students and a total footfall of over 35k. It had an indigenous spectra of guest lectures which included Roy Zaltsman the mentalist, satyajit Bhatkal the director of popular show satyamev jayatey, Dr.Jakob Van Zyl a member of NASA, Mark Shaw a renowned TED speaker, Devdatta Chandavarkar vice president- Mercedes-Benz India and Marshall Strabala - chief architect of Burj Khalifa. The cult workshops included RC ornithopter a mechanical aviation , Mobile Making and Phone Gap a sophisticated approach to application development. With 3D printer and scanner, NCC Aeromodels, drone roboarms, and google cardboard the techzibitions set a dynamic view. The tunes of Sachin-Jigar with priya panchal and divya kumar ended the 3 day technical fiesta with the crowd swaying on the tunes of jee karda, Johnny Johnny, bey yaar and many more spellbinding tunes.
It’s been a thrilling journey of Innovation and Experience which is something beyond imagination.

Workshops
Internet of things(Iot): it is a workshop based on internet of things based on an arduino board.this workshop will focus on role of Mozilla Firefox in Iot.
Material Design: Material Design is a specification for a unified system of visual, motion, and interaction design that adapts across different devices and different screen sizes.
Google Cloud Platform is a cloud computingplatform by Google that offers hosting on the same supporting infrastructure that Google uses internally for end-user products like Google Search and YouTube.Cloud Platform provides developer products to build a range of programs from simple websites to complex applications.
Solarizer: This workshop will provide hands on experience about solar charger and the practical concepts and applications of solar energy and the various solar devices.

Dr.Henry Throop: Dr. Henry Throop was responsible for the oversight and management of two of the NASA's major scientific research programs, one of which is New Horizons Mission.He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Pretoria and a Senior Scientist with the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson, Arizona, USA.
Meetul Patel: He is the General Manager at Microsoft, India, with extensive opportunity identification, strategy definition, strategy implementation, and business management experience gained through 20 years of cross-sector and cross-functional management consulting experience and business leadership roles.
Roel Vertegaal: Roel Vertegaal is an interaction designer and scientist working in the area of Human-Computer Interaction. He is the director of the Human Media Lab and Professor at Queen's University's School of Computing. He is best known for his pioneering work on flexible and paper computers, with systems such as PaperWindows (2004), PaperPhone (2010) and PaperTab (2012)
Chris Korn: Globally renowned, Chris Korn has captivated audiences in over 20 foreign countries and has come to be known by the show’s 74 million viewers, as not only one of the most talented sleight-of-hand magicians in the world, but as an amazing over all entertainer.
