Literary Events during the Festival: “Avlokan” (Aptitude test, Quiz, Acumen and Verbosity) “Sanhita” (Story writing, Poetry, Debate competitions, Parliamentary Debate) Workshops during the Festival: Workshop at Corona offer a priceless opportunity to receive hand on knowledge from leading experts, for those who believe in enhancing practical awareness in both technology and business. Four Workshops are being organized a week before the event date for various branches namely, Mechanical, ECE/EE, CSE/IT and Civil. These are the best platform for any student to start on their technical and practical journey in their study. These workshops witness participation by hundreds of students from various colleges from in and around the country. Past Corona featured workshops like LINUX, MATLAB & Image Processing, Ethical Hacking Expert by most renowned Sunny Vaghela, Autospark & I.C. Engine Design. Guest Lectures during the Festival: The lecture series at Corona features renowned experts sharing their valuable experiences. A number of guest lectures are organized during every edition for the festival. It has included luminaries like Irshad Kamil- The famous lyricist, Praveen Vettiyattil- CEO of Sharada Solutions in previous editions. Personality Contest: Our signature event Pratibimb which is a personality contest is organized to test the communication skills and overall suavity of the participants consists of a series of round like Ramp walk, Self-introduction, Talent, Situation, and IQ-test round. The winners of this event are awarded the title of Mr. NIT and Ms. NIT. Fun Events: A variety of fun events form a part of festival’s evenings. These events witness maximum participation. Students of all branches and colleges come together to celebrate during these events. 1. Streets This is basically a street dancing event. The teams will proceed into the next round based on the ratings by judge panel and cheers from the audience. This event will be organized on the inaugural night and is expected to draw audience and participation in huge numbers. 2. Inferno 7.0 Inferno is back for its 7th season. It’s the only event of its kind to be held in India at the college level. It’s based on MTV reality show Roadies and attracts participation from over fifteen colleges. This event is the most awaited event of the technical festival where the contestants have to go through various troubles both physical and mental to win the contest. THE FINAL SHOWDOWN Last night of the festival is marked by the scintillating & enthralling performances by a number of Bollywood celebrities and bands, enjoyed by the huge crowd from all over the city, who come to witness the celebrities who set the stage ablaze. Previous editions of the Showdown witnessed the stunning performances by the Pakistani band “RAETH” and leading music band “Underground Authority”. This year it’s going to be even larger.
