Big Data recently has become a new ubiquitous term to describe large datasets. The main challenge in handling Big Data lies in capturing data, providing a proper representation, managing and analyzing data to extract meaningful information in the given domain in a fast and efficient manner. Effective management and analysis of Big Data would bring great benefits and unique opportunities to the users. This workshop aims to bring together people from both academia and industry to discuss on big data issues, case studies, tools, platforms, exchange ideas and thoughts in order to advance this big data challenge.
