About Event

School of life sciences is offering a series workshop covering the techniques of advancing areas of research. Objective of this workshop is to enable the students and researchers to be independently perform experiments and also to expose to the advancements in the technique handled. This workshop conducted in different levels consists of lectures with practical laboratory is structured in such a way that it covers from basic experimental design to data analysis- trouble shooting.

Module I: Gene amplification Date: March 1st & 2nd, 2014 Lectures: Principle and applications of PCR, chemistry of PCR, equipments, Primer designing, reaction condition optimisation, Interpretation of results and Trouble shooting. Lab courses: Molecular biology lab -DNA isolation, PCR, reaction condition optimisation, Documentation by Gel-Doc and data analysis. Bio informatics lab - Analysis of sequences, Designing the primers.
