About Event

Nehru Science Innovation and Technology Expo (NSITE) is a technical mega event. The first NSITE was held in 2011, which was a huge success. As an extension to this NGI is organising the second version in collaboration with Mathrubhumi in an aggrandized way which will be held on February 4 th and 5th, 2015. The scheduled venues are Jawaharlal College of Engineering and Technology and Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre. The Expo will be open to public and we expect more than 10,000 students from various schools and colleges. NSITE offers a venue to showcase technical expertise of young aspirants in the fields of science and technology which entails events, games and technical competitions structured by various departments like ECE, EEE,Aeronautical, Civil, ME, CSE, IT, Automobile, Mechatronics, MCA, and AME. The motto is to enhance the students get familiarized with various disciplines of Engineering.Exhibiting equipments and tools in various laboratories and workshops enables a mentee to rule-out the misconceptions and envisages explicit idea about science and technology. With a maxim of providing an exposure to the novice in the fields of science and technology, project competitions are being organized with attractive cash prizes of Rs.3 lakhs. As part of this expo we offer Nehru Vigyan Scholarship of Rs.1crore to aid student talents who are eligible to beB.Tech aspirants. We provide tuition fee exemption for the selected candidates throughout the course. The school providing best participation will be honoured and privileges will be given to the Principal/Headmaster to recommend the students for the scholarship as per norms. This will be a remarkable one for the science and technology hunters.
