“The IIT Ropar National Workshop on Design and Advertising” is a platform for the exploration of Ad-Making and Design from the vantage point of Humanities, Management, and Psychology. The workshop will focus on and promote the creative side of ad-making. It gives special emphasis to the psychoanalytic and psychological dynamics behind ad-making. We shall discuss, through interactive lectures, how to develop ideas for advertisements and how to convert these ideas into effective commercials. This will be supplemented by another set of talks on theories, tools, history, evolution and relevant case studies in advertising. The workshop also includes a creative ad-making competition among the teams participating in the workshop.
