This one week Faculty Development Program aims at exposing the faculty members and participants to recent developments in the area of Drives and Control.FDP intendsto develop awareness among faculties regarding the significance of Modern trends in modelling, simulation and control of complex systems for various new generation applications.It will provide an in-depth understanding of design and analysis of models and demonstrate their applications in real world problems.In order to maximize the industrial efficiency, new technologies for drive systems, advanced control techniques and power electronic modulatorsare to be incorporated in system designto reduce operating cost and to improve quality of services.The purpose of this FDP is to bring together experts and academic researchersand provide a platform for discussion on recent research avenues in drives and control. Basic concepts with directions for further research will be discussed
