One-day Workshop On Wireless Sensor Networks – A Cognitive perspective using NetSim.
NetSim is a popular network simulation tool developed by TETCOS, Bangalore. It is used for network design & planning, defense applications and network R & D. Various technologies such as Cognitive Radio, Wireless Sensor Networks, Wireless LAN, WiMax, TCP-IP, etc., are covered in NetSim. The objective of this workshop is to train the participants on Wireless Sensor Network and Cognitive Radio and discover how NetSim enables to perform simulation tasks such as network modeling, traffic modeling and analysis of performance and packet traces of the specified networks. This demonstration will use the latest release NetSim v8. The workshop will enable the participants to,
• Understand theoretical aspects of Wireless Sensor Network and Cognitive Radio.
• Learn NetSim and perform simulation of the specified networks.
• Modify the Protocols and simulate it to analyze the performance.
