CHIPCRAFT 3.0 - 24-Hour VLSI Hackathon

Event Overview

ChipCraft 3.0 is a 24-hour VLSI Hackathon organized to provide students with hands-on exposure to the complete digital chip design flow. Participants will design, synthesize, and verify digital circuits using industry-standard Synopsys C2S tools. The event provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge of Verilog, Linux, RTL Design, Synthesis, and Formal Verification in a competitive and collaborative environment.

Dates: 25th–26th September 2026

Venue: DSPSD Lab, 3rd Block, KARE

Duration: 24 Hours

Team Size: 2–3 Students



Design Flow

Participants will work through the complete VLSI design flow:

RTL → Gate-Level Netlist Generation → Formal Verification

Teams will design and implement digital circuits while gaining practical experience with professional Synopsys EDA tools.

Prize Structure

• 1st Prize: ₹12,000 + Gold Certificate
• 2nd Prize: ₹8,000 + Silver Certificate
• 3rd Prize: ₹5,000 + Bronze Certificate

Total Prize Pool: ₹25,000

Certificates will be provided to all participants.


Eligibility

Open to current ECE / EEE / CSE college students

Maximum 3 members per team

Basic knowledge of Verilog and Linux is required


Technical Requirements

• Participants should have basic knowledge of:
• Verilog HDL
• Linux Environment
• Digital Electronics
• RTL Design
• Logic Synthesis
• Formal Verification
• Synopsys EDA Tools

Rules

• Registration is valid only through the official registration portal.
• Participants will be considered registered only after completing the official registration process.
• No plagiarism or copying from the internet.
• All team members are expected to contribute equally.
• Participants must respect judges, organizers, and fellow participants.
