Greetings from the UGC-Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre, University of Allahabad.

We are pleased to invite teachers of Literary Studies and allied disciplines in institutions of higher education to participate in a One-Week Short-Term Course/Faculty Development Programme titled:

“Reframing Comparative Literature: Theory, Method and Praxis in an Indian-Global Context”

Dates: 25 September 2026 to 1 October 2026

The programme will engage with contemporary developments in Comparative Literature, with particular emphasis on comparative theory and methodology, translation studies, Indian and Global South perspectives, interdisciplinary approaches, digital tools, and pedagogical innovation.

The programme features distinguished scholars as resource persons, including Prof. Pramod K. Nayar, Prof. Rukmini Bhaya Nair, Prof. Jon Cook, Prof. E. V. Ramakrishnan, Prof. Narayana Chandran, Prof. Gurupdesh Singh, Prof. Saugata Bhaduri, Prof. Sowmya Dechamma, Prof. Joly Puthussery, and Prof. Sayantan Dasgupta.

The course/programme will be considered for fulfilment of the requirements laid down by the UGC Career Advancement Scheme (CAS).
