About Event

The National-Level One-Day Workshop on Advanced Drone Surveying Techniques for Construction and Infrastructure Projects will be organized at Annapoorana Engineering College with the objective of introducing students, researchers, and professionals to the latest developments in drone-based surveying technologies used in construction and infrastructure development.

With the rapid advancement of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology, drone surveying has become an efficient tool for topographic mapping, land surveying, construction monitoring, infrastructure inspection, and volume analysis. Compared to traditional surveying methods, drone-based surveying offers high accuracy, faster data collection, improved safety, and reduced operational costs.

This one-day national-level workshop will focus on modern drone applications in civil engineering projects such as highways, bridges, dams, smart cities, and large-scale infrastructure development. Participants will gain insights into drone flight planning, aerial photogrammetry, 3D terrain modeling, GIS integration, and data processing techniques used in professional surveying practices.

The workshop will include expert lectures, live drone demonstrations, technical discussions, and interactive sessions, providing participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to emerging technologies in drone surveying.

This program aims to enhance technical skills, promote innovation in surveying practices, and prepare participants for the future of digital construction and infrastructure management.
