About Event

The IEEE EMBS Sponsored Workshop on “Calibration of Critical Care Devices” is a two-day technical fest organized by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBS), KPRIET Student Branch. This event aims to bridge the gap between biomedical theory and practical application by focusing on one of the most vital aspects of healthcare technology – the calibration and accuracy of critical care devices.

With hands-on sessions, expert insights, and interactive discussions, the workshop will train participants to understand the principles of calibration, industry standards, and the significance of precision in life-saving equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, patient monitors, and defibrillators.

Students, researchers, and professionals from biomedical engineering and related domains will benefit from this workshop by gaining industry-oriented skills, certification, and exposure to the real-world importance of device reliability in critical care settings.

How to Reach KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET):

KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology is located at Avinashi Road, Arasur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The campus is well-connected by road, rail, and air, making it easily accessible from various parts of the city and state.

By Road: KPRIET is situated on the National Highway (Avinashi Road) and is around 17 km from Coimbatore Railway Station and 12 km from Gandhipuram Central Bus Stand. Frequent city buses, cabs, and autos are available from all major points in Coimbatore.

By Rail: The nearest railway station is Coimbatore Junction (CBE), which has direct trains from Chennai, Bangalore, Kerala, and other major cities. From the station, the campus is a 30–40 minute drive.
