About Event

The one-day workshop, "A Hands-on Workshop on Development of Machine Learning Models: From Data to Decision," is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive overview on the world of machine learning. The workshop will begin with an introduction on machine learning concepts, types, and applications, followed by a hands-on session on development of machine learning models using Python ML libraries. Participants will learn about feature engineering and selection techniques, as well as supervised learning algorithms such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, random forests, and support vector machines. Unsupervised learning algorithms, including K-means clustering, hierarchical clustering, and principal component analysis, will be explored. The workshop will also cover model training, testing, evaluation, and cross-validation techniques. Participants will gain insights into model deployment and decision-making based on model outputs. The workshop will include case studies, real-world examples, and hands-on exercises to reinforce the concepts learned. The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session and provide resources for further learning.
