Spotlight 2022 of Saarang, IIT Madras brings to you the first speaker of our glorious lineup.

Sucheta Dalal has been India's leading financial journalist for over 2 decades and has rocked the financial world multiple times. Events from her life have inspired 'Scam 1992' and 'The Big Bull' both of which are based on her own book 'The Scam: Who Won, Who Lost, who Got Away'. She later went on the become the Financial Editor of Times of India. Her work of exposing the Harshad Mehta scam in 1992, IDBI scam and the Ketan Parekh scam in 2001 helped prevent unimaginable loss to the country and bring the perpetrators to justice. Having been conferred with the Padma Shri in 2006, she continues to inspire countless people across the country to pursue the truth.
