We are pleased to invite you to a two-day workshop on “Fundamentals and Research Issues in Machining, Welding, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)” during 26th- 27th September 2019 at Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College (Autonomous), Sivakasi. This workshop consists of 9 sessions (including practical/demo to the participants). Our college is 90 minutes journey from Madurai city.

Content of the workshop:
Ø Fundamentals on advanced welding, machining and NDT for industrial applications.
Ø Comparison of destructive and non destructive/NDT inspection.
Ø Lectures, practical and demo sessions on Liquid penetrant testing (LPT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), Weld inspection, Radiographic Film Viewer.
Ø Research in usage of laser in machining, surface texturing for industrial applications.
Ø Research in usage of Wire cut EDM machining for industrial applications, micromachining.
Ø Research in advanced welding techniques, Hybrid welding and laser welding.

The practical/demo sessions and lectures will be handled by the expert members from Sri Sai NDT institute, CSIR-CECRI Karaikudi, NIT Trichy, SRM institute of science and technology, and our faculty members.

Accommodation can be arranged for outstation participants on payment basis on request.

• Rs.100/- per day in our hostel (including evening tea & snacks, dinner, breakfast) Lunch will provided for the workshop participants.

• Rs 300/- per day in our guest house (Non A/c)
Lunch will provided for the workshop participants.
• Rs 500/- per day in our guest house (A/C).
