About Event

We at SQUADRA, do not aim to just put up an Event, our vision is to reach every interested student, professor, personnel from the industry, to pool their resources together to bring up solutions to the most important challenge in India’s development of infrastructure. We focus on creating a platform for the students to showcase their talent in Civil Engineering and help them over-reach in this field; we envision an Event which is uniquely different from any other college fest of the kind, with a strong motive and purpose.The “BOYCE” Association of Civil Engineering in SSMIET started with an objective to foster the creativity of the budding Engineers serves as a platform for the students to home and exhibit their talents and also equip them for their career opportunities.

THE PARTICIPANTS SHOULD SEND THE PAPERS TO squadra2k19@gmail.com .
THREE PER TEAM.
ABSTRACT SHOULD NOT EXCEED 300 WORDS.
ONLY ONE PAPER IS ACCEPTED PER TEAM AND THE STUDENTS SHOULD SUBMIT TWO NUMBER OF HARD COPY TO THE CO-ORDINATORS.
SLIDES SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 15 NO'S.
THE LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF PAPER IS 02-03-2019 (SATURDAY).
INTIMATION OF SELECTED PAPER WILL BE SENT TO YOUR MAIL ID.

CONFLOAT :
CONFLOAT IS AN EVENT FOR FLOATING CONCRETE.
THE BEST LIGHT-WEIGHT CONCRETE AFTER TESTING FOR FLOATING AND STRENGTH WILL BE REWARDED.
THE CONCRETE CUBE SHOULD BE CAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE COMPETITION .
INTIMATE THE COORDINATORS THROUGH MAIL SO THAT THEY WILL INSIST YOU REGARDING THE IDENTIFICATION MARKS THAT SHOULD BE MARKED ON YOUR CONCRETE CUBES.

MAKE IT CLEAR :
CODE CRACKING.
THE CODE BOOKS WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE COORDINATORS.

BOB THE BUILDER :
IT IS A TYPE OF MODEL MAKING EVENT.
MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED.
THE TYPE OF MODEL AND THEME WILL BE GIVEN ON THE SPOT .

TICKLE YOUR TECHNO :
IT IS AN EVENT OF TESTING YOUR TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE THROUGH QUIZ.
PRELIMS WILL BE CONDUCTED.
SHORTLISTED STUDENTS FROM PRELIMS CAN PARTICIPATE IN FURTHER ROUNDS.


NON - TECHNICAL EVENTS :
THE PERFECT MEMER :
THIS IS A MEME CREATION COMPETITION, WHERE THE PARTICIPANT SHOULD SEND ONE MEME UNDER EACH CATEGORY OF SOCIAL MEMES & FUN MEMES TO OUR FACEBOOK PAGE. THE COORDINATOR WILL UPLOAD IT IN OUR FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM PAGES. THE MOST LIKED/REACTED MEME WILL BE CHOSEN FOR FINAL ROUND WHICH WILL BE CONDUCTED IN THE CAMPUS.
MEMES RELATED TO CIVIL ENGINEERING THEME IS APPRECIABLE.
TOPIC FOR THE FINAL ROUND OF MEME CREATION WILL BE REVEALED ON THE SPOT.

How to reach SSM Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dindigul

SSMIET is ideally located just 5 kms away from the historical city of Dindigul on the National Highway 209, towards the famous temple city , one among the six famous abodes of Lord Muruga, Palani. Surrounded by coconut palms and greenery, the campus is accessible from Dindigul in 15 minutes, Palani in 40 minutes, Madurai Airport in 60 minutes and Trichy city in 100 minutes. Indeed, it is a heart land in the State of Tamil Nadu.

The vast 25 acres of technical campus is a part of about 60 acres of Chennimalai Trust’s education complex. Just alighting the bus on the highway, the students can reach the class in 60 secounds. The cool climate owing to the constant blow of the breeze from the western ghats makes the campus conducive for learning.
Regular bus facilities are available from Dindigul Bus stand , ROUTE NO - 6 .
