About Event

->History of BVM-Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya cherishes the pride of being the first engineering college of Gujarat, founded in 1948 under the guidance and blessing of Sardar Vallbhbhai Patel and inaugurated by Lord Mountbatten, last Vice Roy of British India and the first Governor General of independent India. 
->History of UDAAN-UDAAN was born in 2012. Every year the level of UDAAN is levelled up. Participants of UDAAN hail from all over Gujarat. Every year the number of events increases. This is time it is a massive 75 events. 
->Insights of UDAAN-This year UDAAN the techno-cultural fest of BVM is from 13th March 2019 to 15th March 2019 at Vallabh Vidhyanagar. UDAAN 2018 was a huge success comprising of more than 60 events and had a witnessed student participation of over 9000, from various colleges across Gujarat, this has rejuvenated our efforts to take UDAAN 2019 to greater magnificence. This time with more than 75 events and estimating over 10000 participants, we are here to organize one of biggest fests of Gujarat.

Events

->Branches of UDAAN 
1. Technical-Inside Comprising of 8 branches, there are a total of 22 technical events. Each technical event is so designed that the participant gets to learn and experience practical aspects of their field such that it helps them in the future. 
2. Non-Technical-Participants get the opportunity to enjoy, have fun and develop themselves in one or the other way. Total number of non-tech events are 17. 
3. Cultural-Comprising of 7 events, Cultural events involve events related to Music, art, dance, theatre and photography. 
4. Girls Special-These events aim at bringing the best in girls and giving them a chance to prove themselves by initiating multi-tasking and leadership qualities.
5. Adventure-Two exciting events, Paint ball and Zorb Fighting. 
6. BVM Talks-A new initiative aiming to inspire the youngsters by having certain bright minds share their wealth of experiences that value highly in life. Our last year speakers were Ruzan Khambatta, Rameshwar Bhatt, Genabhai Patel and Avni Sethi. 
7. Nights 
 a. Garba Night: The pride and tradition of Gujarat, the garba is a dance form that all love. Garba night is on 12th March. 
 b. Cultural Night: The most thrilling night, battle of GS vs LR. 
 c. EDM Night: Dual Vibes from and international artist Olly Esse were our DJ’s for the EDM Night rocked the stage last year. 
 d. Annual Night: Presentation of Annual report and Prize distribution
