About Workshop:
In recent years, composites have emerged as a replacement material for conventional metallic materials as they have a better specific strength and stiffness and can be easily tailored to the design requirements. Hence, the composite materials find their applications in various fields such as Aeronautical, Mechanical, Automobile, Marine Engineering, etc. Inspiteof the wide range of applications of composites, the mechanical behaviour of these materials is yet to be characterized accurately. Hence, the intention of this workshop is to expose the challenges in using the composite materials in various applications, as the loading in practical scenario is complex. This course will cover the various types of composites and the challenges involved in experimental characterization composite materials.
