About Event

The objective of the Programme is to provide a platform for sharing and disseminating knowledge about Electromagnetic fields and various challenges. This Programme is intended for young faculty members who are working in Anna university affiliated colleges to enhance their knowledge in this subject. The topics focused in this FDTP includes Mathematical concepts of vector analysis, Basics of static electric field and its associated laws, Electromagnetic properties of conductors and dielectrics, Static magnetic fields and its associated laws, Magnetic forces and Magnetic materials, Concepts of fields under time varying situations and Maxwell’s equations.

The following topics will be covered
 Basic Mathematical concepts of vector analysis and Coordinate systems
 Properties of conductors, dielectrics and associated laws to the solutions of electrostatic field
 Analysis of field potentials due to static magnetic fields
 Analysis of relation between the fields under time varying situations using Maxwell’s Equations
 Plane waves in Lossy, Lossless media and Poynting vector
