About Event

Block Chain is a leading software platform for digital assets. It is a data structure used to create a decentralized ledger and is composed of blocks in a serialized manner. Experts attribute a fundamental impact on diverse areas of society to block chain and perceive that as the most important technology in the field of smart contracts. The invention of the block chain for bitcoin made it the first digital currency to solve the double-spending problem. The bitcoin design has inspired other applications, and block chains which are readable by the public are widely used by cryptocurrencies. The workshop aims at giving an overview about the block chain, its characteristics, applications and implications.
