MEKCHAT 18.0 "Accelerate to Infinity" is the National Level Technical Symposium conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Salem. This Annual Technical Extravaganza is proudly hosted by the Society for the Advancement of Mechanical Engineers (SME). This Fest includes 18 major events along with many surprising fun and gaming events that attract the enthusiastic minds from various institutions across the country to exhibit their Technical excellence.

Accommodation will be provided on first come first serve basis.
• You will be provided pillows and bedspreads in hostels in dormitory arrangement.
• We will be providing you accommodation from 13th March (Tuesday) night to 16thMarch (Friday) Morning.
The Participants should register through online to avoid inconvenience.
Accommodation would be inside the GCE campus and would be on strictly sharedbasis.

• Just 7 km from the Salem Bus Stand. Any buses towards Omalur take you through to us.
• At a distance of around 5 km from the Salem Railway station, the college is well connected by buses from there as well.
