About Ornithopter workshop
Almost all the earlier attempts in achieving the first manned flights were carried out in vehicles resembling the flight of bird. Even the sketches by Leonardo Da Vinci indicate that he too tried to achieve bird’s flight in the same lines. This workshop introduces the students to the ideas behind flapping flight. The workshop is designed to teach the students about the principles of flight, mechanism behind achieving the flapping flight etc.., Flapping wing vehicles have become a very serious research topic primarily because of its potential military and civilian applications. This workshop is one of the most successful one conducted by us. The workshop contents are designed with help from Mr. Nathan Chronister, USA of Ornithopter Zone, a world renowned Ornithopter Expert.
