Day 1: Understanding Dynamics of Structural Systems- Basic theory of vibration; Damped and Un-damped system, Free Vibration of Single & Multi Degree Freedom System, Forced Vibration response of SDOF Systems and MDOF systems; Response to Harmonic Loading; Transient and Steady State Response and Vibration Isolation; Dynamic Aspects of Industrial Systems i.e. Industrial Structures, Equipment and associated interfaces; System Response to Dynamic Loads; Structure-Equipment Interaction ; Modeling and analysis. Solution to Sample Problems.

Day 2: (a) Machine Foundation: Block and Frame Foundations for variety of Industrial Machines; Design Considerations; Codal provisions, Use of FE/CAE Packages for Analysis & Design; ; Vibration Isolation; Case Studies with sample problems.

Day 2: (b) Structural Dynamics: Industrial Structures (Steel & RCC); Induced Dynamic Loads; Mathematical Modeling; Analysis & Design with application to Industries; Use of FE/CAE Packages for Analysis & Design; Codal Provisions; Case Studies with sample problems.

Dr. K G Bhatia is a well known research scientist in the field of Structural Dynamics, and an expert in the profession of Machine Foundation Design, Seismic Qualification, Failure Analysis and Weight Optimization. He has over 45 years of industry experience. Dr. Bhatia has carried out machine foundation design and conducted field studies on many machines and their foundations for various projects. It is this rich experience which Dr. Bhatia has brought out in the form a Handbook. The handbook covers basic fundamentals of vibration analysis, modeling, analysis and design aspects. Various Case Studies of real life machines, problems and solutions backed up by field measurements are also discussed.
He shares this experience with Practising Engineers, Students, Academicians, Researchers and Industry in general during such training programs and Workshops.
He is presently the CEO of D-CAD Technologies, New Delhi. He is also consultant to many Industrial organisations in India and Abroad.
