CHECKMATE is an inter-college chess championship conducted by Govt. Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara every year in memorial of Arjun Harish Nadh and Korath Sunny(EC & CS Batch 2008-2012). PRIZE WORTH: 14k. 1.Each team must have Bonafide certificate or letter from the Principal of the college. 2.Online Registration:Send you names and details to ‘davidlivingston.mec@gmail.com’. 3.Players are to be report at 9.00 am on 14.3.2015. 4.The championship will be conducted as per latest FIDE rules. 5.A team may consist of 4 players and one Reserve (reserve player is optional). 6.Fixed board order (FBO) must be submitted at the time of registration. 7.Revised board order (RBO) must be submitted 10 minutes before the round. 8.A team is said to be won if the score is 4-0, 3.5-0.5, 3-1, or 2.5-1.5. 9.A team is drawn if the score is 2-2. 10.Tie is broken considering Game Point, Encounter and Lot. 11.Mobile phones are not allowed in the hall. Ringing mobile forfeits the point. 12.Reserve player can play only on last board.
