About Event

Filmsaaz is a festival of short films which is held annually since 2008, until 5th Filmsaaz it was a national film festival where film entries were invited from India. 6th Filmsaaz was made international and film entries were invited from across the globe. It is the only short film festival organised by students' body of a university in India. Filmsaaz was concieved in order to give the budding filmmakers a platform to showcase their talents. This festival aims to crave out the hidden talent and inspire an urge among the young filmmakers. It is not just another film festival, but is a mission to bring up those to light who think beyond the conventionals. Likewise, this year too, 8th Filmsaaz-2015 would be held with all its charms in the first week of March, in the Kennedy Auditorium of the Aligarh Muslim University. Entries are thus invited under the various categories mentioned from all such budding filmmakers.
