About Event
ARTHAGYA, the Economics Society of Indraprastha College for Women presents its annual festival ARTHULLAS 2014, an exciting platform to bring together economic enthusiasts by giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent in different competitions. The aim of Arthullas is to promote economic analysis of global situations and thoughtful discussion on economic issues that affect us all and tests the analytic and conceptual knowledge of students beyond books.Events
We proudly present the following events as part of Arthullas'14 1. It's Brooding Time- Round Table Conference: Chaos is merely order waiting to be deciphered. Do you have what it takes to restore this order, to dwell into the abyss of economic planning, develop strategies and be the master planner...as the past, present and future of state lies in your hands. Explore, strategize, manage crisis, learn, share, think, but zara hatke! Get ready to unleash the Keynes in you, to analyze, research. Craft reports, present your ideas, debate, engage and put your theories to action. It's Brooding time- An event like never before! 2. Budget Insight: The focus is on the economic know-how of the Indian economy, preferably, however we welcome participation from other fields as well. Presence of mind, spontaneity and basic economic knowledge is all that the event requires rather than deep specific concept knowledge. 3. Prodigy- The Quiz Competition: Just like Dr. Sheldon Cooper, do you also possess an eidetic memory? Claim that your IQ cannot be measured by normal tests? Come, prove this to the world at Arthullas 2014 with our knowledge testing event Prodigy. A little Brain Power can help you climb the Victory Tower! 4. Bulls & Bears- Mock Stock Event: Rule#1 Never Lose Money Rule #2 Never Forget rule #1 - Warren Buffet Do you think you have what it takes to become the next Warren Buffet? Come, test your business acumen in a game filled with excitement and thrill modeled on the share market. Use your skills, luck and tactics and see if you can survive the Wall Street after all. 5. Gold Rush- Treasure Hunt Competition: An event sure to give you adrenaline rush. Solve some puzzles, connect the cues and find the treasure before someone else does. 6. Eco-Scientia: Being a to-be-economist, the thought of playing bingo is uhh.. a little less? Why not make it a little more interesting and informative with fun facts and twists waiting for you at every step. Arthagya presents 'Eco-Scientia', an event that binds together Economics and all that's happening round the globe with a game we all love.. yes Bingo!!.. Bored of playing it in its conventional form? Try this and you will never complain again. Enough of filling rows with numbers in normal Bingo. Do it with countries, currencies, brands, banks a lot more this time. And just like normal tambola, the motive is to complete rows and win prizes. 7. Rock-o-nomics: Ever thought of relating a song, video, cartoon or an advertisement to an economic theory? Well, we all have that hidden art of linking things, don't we? So here we present you an event loaded with fun to give your interpretations a voice. Welcome to Rock-O-Nomics.Event Guests
