This workshop-cum-training programme brings together experts, researchers, aCADemicians and industry professionals to share their knowledge and practical experience in the emerging field of waste valorization. The programme will focus on innovative technologies and sustainable approaches for transforming waste into value-added products, renewable energy, useful materials and other valuable resources.

Through expert talks, interactive technical sessions, practical demonstrations and hands-on learning, participants will gain insights into the latest developments in waste-to-value technologies, resource recovery, circular economy, sustainable energy, environmental management and industrial applications. The programme will also provide an opportunity to understand real-world challenges, technological advancements and potential pathways for research, innovation, entrepreneurship and commercialization.

The training is designed to enhance participants’ technical knowledge and encourage the development of practical, innovative and environmentally responsible solutions for effective waste management and sustainable resource utilization.

This hands-on workshop is designed to provide participants with practical exposure to the application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) using MATLAB in the emerging domains of waste valorization, sustainable energy, and environmental management. The session will introduce participants to data-driven approaches for analysing environmental datasets, developing predictive models, identifying patterns, and supporting sustainable decision-making. Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will gain an understanding of how MATLAB-based AI/ML tools can be applied to real-world environmental and waste-management challenges. The programme will also provide valuable insights into innovative waste-to-value technologies, renewable and sustainable energy solutions, resource recovery, and environmental monitoring practices. Laboratory visits will further enhance the learning experience by giving participants direct exposure to research facilities, experimental systems, analytical instruments, and ongoing activities in waste management and environmental sustainability. Conducted in a hybrid mode, the session brings together theoretical understanding, practical learning, research exposure, and technology demonstrations, making it highly relevant for students, researchers, aCADemicians, and professionals interested in AI-enabled sustainable environmental solutions.
