About College
St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering (Autonomous), affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, is owned, administered and run by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kuzhithurai, under the leadership of the Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Albert G.A. Anasthas. The college was established in 1998 by the Diocese of Kottar under the guidance of the Late Bishop, Most. Rev. Dr. Leon A. Tharmaraj, who spearheaded the collective effort of the diocese's laity and clergy. St. Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering (Autonomous) is located at the lap of the Western Ghats at Chunkankadai in Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu, overlooking the Nagercoil-Thiruvananthapuram National Highway (NH 47). Lush green paddy fields and plantain farms spread their arms around the college and gentle breeze caresses it.
