Sheet Metal Non Technical Events 1. The Dirt ride our college team- IGIT-Yantriki has been participating in the SAEINDIA-initiated inter-collegiate event – BAJA SAEINDIA since many years, designing and fabricating an all-terrain vehicle. The dirt ride, is an event organised by team Yantriki, wherein they display their self-designed vehicle, and offer others a drive on the same, on a rugged track laid out on the college ground. The event is ultra-fun, and a big crowd puller. The event is an inspiration to young people around, and a motivation for team Yantriki as they receive positive and negative feedback of drivers, and hence can identify and improve their potential as designers significantly. 2. Efficycle ride Efficycle is an SAE-initiated project proposed for undergraduate students to design and fabricate an eco-friendly cycle. Our college team has been actively participating in efficycle and bringing laurels to the college. The cycle they have designed and fabricated will be put up, for a ride in the college basketball court, which will definitely be fun-filled and enjoyable. 3. Body -Zorbing Zorbing is the recreation or sport of rolling downhill inside an orb, generally made of transparent plastic. Zorbing is generally performed on a gentle slope, but can also be done on a level surface. It is definitely an eye-catcher of an event and will pull lots of crowd. 4. Mechanical Bull it’s a super fun ride, wherein a bull is fixed in between an inflated platform. The participant sits on the bull, and the bull moves vigorously in all directions, going completely wild. The fun is in holding on to the bull for as long as possible or else freely falling on the inflated platform. 5. Ground Roller A big roller, made of an orb (plastic) will be available, with a central cavity. The participant stands in this cavity, and tries to roll the roller, by moving along it. It’s a fun activity controlled by the participant, which will pull a lot of crowd. 6. Eat-athon shalu Participants will go through various rounds, of simply eating! Some participants will be qualifying at each stage, whereas others will be screened off. The tasks will become tougher yet more fun, as the stages advance, with only one aim in mind – Eat to beat! 7. Photobooth To capture memories, and relive them is something very beautiful and unique. Photobooth, with fun props and accessories will give everyone an opportunity to capture the fun moments. 8. 60 Seconds to fame -Divya Ready to accept a challenge? Each participant will be provided with a topic randomly and you have to prick your brain just for 60 seconds for all the ideas you can muster. Xebec is providing you the opportunity to test your spontaneity and a chance to win exciting prizes at the same moment. 9. Graffiti Show case your creativity on the walls of IGDTUW! For us, Graffiti is a form of art which enlivens the dull and boring walls. So, Xebec is organising a Graffiti competition for all those who are interested. You can express your vibrant moods through your brush on, at our campus. 10. Gully Cricket Get down and get dirty with us to play cricket! Bring your friends along and show everyone that you’re the best back-alley batsman of the city. We present you the most awaited event of Xebec 2014 in the alleys of IGDTUW. Get nostalgic with our wickets and break your records! 11. Street Play Clear those throats and rack your brains for this exquisite street play competition organised by Xebec 2014 at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women. Drum it up, break the barriers, let your voices be heard by one and all and compete with some of the finest and most enthusiastic teams from colleges across the Delhi. If there’s a social message you want to spread, this is the place to be. Win exciting prizes!! 12. Biz plan - { Shalu } A promising event for young, aspiring business analysts – this event will involve introduction of a new and innovative business plans which will check the participant’s creativity, business-investment capability and approach, and enrich the participant’s knowledge about new market trends. 13. Treasure hunt Different teams of 8-10 members each, will have to use their combined wit to solve 8-10 clues and reach the so called treasure, i.e. the end point of the hunt. Starting with the first clue, the team has to solve and unravel the meaning behind it, which in turn would lead to the next clue, and so on. 14. Ad Mad (In teams of 4-5 participants) - Divya this event is especially for people with a creative bend of mind, who can spontaneously think of attractive sales strategies and produce their own version of an advertisement. The presentation can be crazy, wacky, or simply unique – only and only to sell a given product in the best possible way. 15. LAN Warriors A call to all the crazy LAN gamers, this is the perfect platform to prove your worth. With ultimate and popular favourites like – Counter Strike, FIFA, Need for speed – this event is sure to be a big craze. 16. Karaoke - divya A favourite song can really enlighten one’s day. Choose from a variety of tunes, grab a mike and just sing along. Karaoke is one of the most fun-filled and enjoyable events which will definitely bring a smile to one’s face! 17. Pictionary Teams of 2 or 3 will be participating in this fun event, where one member has to draw and the other member has to guess what’s being drawn. The game gets more fun at each advancing stage, where things to draw become trickier and more complicated – like proper nouns, brand names etc. 18. Ink-it - {Shalu} For all the tattoo-making enthusiasts, this is the chance to showcase your creativity and use your persuasive skills to convince people who’ve come to the fest – to get a tattoo made by you! In the first stage, the participant decides his tattoo design options, and then goes around the campus to convince people to get their tattoo made for a nominal fee. Participant who convinces maximum no. of people to get his/her tattoo made, wins. 19. Ekdum Filmy An event to discover the Bollywood-geek in you. Participation will be in teams of 2 or 3, with 3 stages of rounds. From Mimicry to Dumb Charades to a subjective and interesting Bollywood quiz – this event would truly bring out the Bollywood genius in you! 20. T-shirt painting Get ready to portray your imagination and ideas with splashes and strokes of colour on a T-shirt! Given a theme and some paints, let your imagination go wild to create a masterpiece, on a T-shirt. 21. Rapture Capture (Photography) A suitable platform for students with the ‘third-eye’, able to capture the unseen yet the beautiful. Showcase your innovative side, by snapping moments through your camera based on a given on-the-spot theme.
