Information collected
KnowAFest stores the information you provide when creating or updating an account, including your name, email, phone number, organization, location, and optional profile photo. It also stores selected interests, followed organizations and tags, saved events, registrations, and notifications.
Organizer submissions include event and organization details, images, links, and contact information. We also retain messages sent to admins, feedback, and problem reports. Visitor problem reports may include an optional email address.
How information is used
Information supports account access, event discovery and recommendations, registration management, organizer review, notifications, and assistance with queries. Technical records and event-view records support reliability, abuse prevention, and event analytics.
What is public and what is private
Published event and organization content, including organizer-supplied contact details, can be viewed by visitors and search engines. Organizer–admin conversations and feedback are restricted to the relevant user and authorized admins; visitor reports are available to admins. Registration information is available to authorized event organizers and platform staff as needed to manage participation.
Cookies and technical information
The site uses cookies for sessions, authentication, and event-view counting. Server logs and rate limits may process IP addresses and request information. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may prevent login or form submissions.
Service providers and external websites
Hosting, email delivery, and optional Google sign-in involve service providers. Following external registration, payment, or social links takes you to another service whose privacy practices apply. KnowAFest does not control information you submit on those websites.
Your choices
You can update your profile, change interests, unfollow organizations and tags, and delete your account through account settings. To request access to information, corrections beyond your profile, or removal of published personal details, contact platform support. Account deletion does not necessarily remove public event content, operational logs, backups, or anonymized reports.
Retention and security
Access controls and account authentication protect private areas. Retention periods for accounts, registrations, support records, logs, and backups are awaiting confirmation by the platform operator. No fixed retention period is promised by this draft.
