About Event

Online Faculty Development Program on "Recent Advances in Renewable Energy for Sustainable Development". Timings : Evening 6.00 PM to 7.30 PM.This FDP aims to concentrate on Renewable energy, often referred to as green energy, and is derived from natural resources that are replenished within a human timescale. The most commonly utilized forms of renewable energy include solar energy, wind power, hydropower and biomass. In certain countries, bioenergy and geothermal energy also play a significant role. While some people classify nuclear power as a renewable energy source, this viewpoint remains contentious. The topic is highly interdisciplinary nature of contemporary energy research, which integrates various scientific and engineering fields to tackle urgent global energy issues. Researchers and engineers focused on renewable and sustainable energy will come together to explore how core principles from diverse disciplines—such as thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, and electromagnetism—are fueling advancements in clean energy technologies. This encompasses breakthroughs in photovoltaic cells, bioenergy, state-of-the-art energy storage systems, and other innovative energy solutions, including unconventional energy technologies. The creation of high-efficiency solar panels and microgrids depends on the synergy between quantum physics and materials science, while progress in energy storage technologies, like batteries and super capacitors, necessitates a thorough understanding of electrochemical and thermodynamic principles. The conference will serve as a forum for engineers and scientists from various disciplines to address the problem and find a solution for efficient and resilient energy grids and power systems. By encouraging collaboration among these diverse fields, the FDP seeks to advance the development of sustainable technologies and create green energy solutions. This initiative highlights the critical importance of interdisciplinary approaches in shaping a clean energy future, focusing on a comprehensive strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while also enhancing energy security and fostering economic growth.
