SUMMARY:Faculty Development Programme On Recent Advances in Renewable Energ
y for Sustainable Development 2025
LOCATION:Online
DESCRIPTION:
Online Faculty Development Program on "Recent Advances in Re
newable Energy for Sustainable Development". Timings : Evening 6.00 PM to
7.30 PM.This FDP aims to concentrate on Renewable energy\, often referred
to as green energy\, and is derived from natural resources that are replen
ished within a human timescale. The most commonly utilized forms of renewa
ble energy include solar energy\, wind power\, hydropower and biomass. In
certain countries\, bioenergy and geothermal energy also play a significan
t role. While some people classify nuclear power as a renewable energy sou
rce\, this viewpoint remains contentious. The topic is highly interdiscipl
inary nature of contemporary energy research\, which integrates various sc
ientific and engineering fields to tackle urgent global energy issues. Res
earchers and engineers focused on renewable and sustainable energy will co
me together to explore how core principles from diverse disciplines—such
 as thermodynamics\, quantum mechanics\, and electromagnetism—are fuelin
g advancements in clean energy technologies. This encompasses breakthrough
s in photovoltaic cells\, bioenergy\, state-of-the-art energy storage syst
ems\, and other innovative energy solutions\, including unconventional ene
rgy technologies. The creation of high-efficiency solar panels and microgr
ids depends on the synergy between quantum physics and materials science\,
while progress in energy storage technologies\, like batteries and super
capacitors\, necessitates a thorough understanding of electrochemical and
thermodynamic principles. The conference will serve as a forum for enginee
rs and scientists from various disciplines to address the problem and find
a solution for efficient and resilient energy grids and power systems. By
encouraging collaboration among these diverse fields\, the FDP seeks to a
dvance the development of sustainable technologies and create green energy
solutions. This initiative highlights the critical importance of interdis
ciplinary approaches in shaping a clean energy future\, focusing on a comp
rehensive strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while also enhancing
energy security and fostering economic growth.
