About Event

For this Yugam 2023, the department of Political Science is presenting you with our annual event, the Youth Parliament.

Youth Parliament is a simulation exercise that embodies the workings of the Parliament of India. Its main objective is to strengthen the roots of democracy, teach the youth about the procedures and practices in the parliament, and encourage the youth to come up with innovative ideas and solutions to some of the most pressing national problems that are faced by India. It brings like-minded youngsters who strive to bring about a change in society together.

So, how is this gonna work?
1. Students will be segregated into ruling and opposing parties based on lots
2. A list of bills will be given for their arguments.
3. They will be given specific times to present their bill recommendations.
4. The party which passes the highest bill will be declared as the winning party.
