GIS is a computer system for storing, managing, analyzing and displaying the geospatial data. GIS become an important for professionals also become a necessary tool for Government agencies for its regular activities. GIS integrated with Internet, GPS and Web services to support many applications in location-based services. We must be familiar with the technology and the basic concepts that drive the technology to become the GIS professionals. This programme covers the syllabus of the subject OCE552 provided by Anna University for the under graduate course as an open elective.
