Now-a-days, because of global competition, international markets, and increasing customer needs, the product design and development process becomes very significant. To effectively meet the customer needs and to achieve utmost customer satisfaction, management of product development process should be systematic right from the concept generation to launch of final product into the market. The government is also focusing on putting concerted effects to produce new entrepreneurs through “MAKE IN INDIA” project. This seminar will present an overview of product design and development process which would help the participants to conceptualize, design and manufacture products which will be competitively priced with high
quality. Prototyping and simulation using soft tools are also included to make the participants to aware the modern tools in the development process.
