About Event

Udgaar is the literary-art fest of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. It is organised by The Editorial Board-the literary sub Council under the Council of Student Activities.
Conducted towards the end of the even semester, Udgaar is one of the most exciting events of the University. With its vibrant and festive vibe, the event promises a break from the mundane routines, thereby revitalising the spirit of the participants. The event is an amalgamation of several different competitions which are exotic and commoving. The main contests that are conducted during the three-day event include House of commons (A mock session of the parliament held as a debate competition concluding with the rejection or passing of a bill), pot decoration, sketching, Don de 'Paper'ica (the students walk the ramp clad in dresses made out of paper), Rangoli competition, Kite Runner and many more. These events are not only unique but also promote the idea of having fun and learning instead of winning and losing. Udgaar is a festival of colours, mirth and bonds that gives the Malaviyans several memories to take back home.
Last year, we - as the members of The Editorial Board, spread happiness to about 2200 faces. This year, we are trying to break shackles and reach more people.
