OBJECTIVE
KONGU ENGINEERING COLLEGE, Department of EEE is going to organize Two Days National Level Training Program On “SERVICES SELECTION BOARD (SSB) INTERVIEW TECHNIQUES” On (27/01/2017-28/01/2017)
The Service Selection Board (SSB), set up by the Ministry of Defense, undertakes the SSB Interview to evaluate prospective candidates for recruitment in the Army, Navy and Air Force. The benchmarks on which the candidates are assessed include intelligence, personality, compatibility and potential. Hence, mental preparation holds prominence over physical preparation, although physical fitness will be an added advantage.
This Programme will be very useful for aspirants who want to become Defence service officers (Army, Navy, Air force) through SSB. The programme will be handled by experts who served in Army of different locations including SSB.

BOARDING AND LODGING
Accommodation and boarding if required will be provided in the college campus on chargeable basis of (Rs. 175/- per day).

Kongu Engineering College was established in the year 1984. Approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Institution has completed 32 years of dedicated and excellent service in the field of technical education. It offers 14 UG programmes, 19 PG programmes and 16 Research programmes in Engineering, Applied Sciences and Management imparting high quality value-added education in India. The college has got NBA accreditation for UG programmes, Best Engineering College award, Best Principal award twice by ISTE. The institution is ranked high among the Engineering Institutions in India by various surveys conducted by reputed magazines/journals/organization. The institution has established a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) supported by Department of Science and Technology, Goverment of India in its campus.TBI@KEC has won the National Award, for the Best TBI in India, presented by President of India on Technology Day in New Delhi on 11th May, 2013.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department occupies a prominent place in the chronicles of its academic history. The department has been consistently producing illustrious Engineering graduates of high caliber who occupy prestigious positions in the academic and industrial fields. The department offers four year UG programme in EEE and two year PG programmes in Power Electronics and Drives and Applied Electronics. The department also carrying out many consultancy activities like energy auditing to many industries. EEE Department of Kongu Engineering College has bagged the National level award under the category “Best Industry linked Technical Institute for the Electrical Engineering stream”, on the survey organized jointly by AICTE and CII during June-July 2013, for the year 2012-13
