About Event

PRITHVI is an initiative of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), IIT Kharagpur Student Chapter, in association with American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), IIT Kharagpur Student Chapter and Society Of Petroleum Geophysicists, IIT Kharagpur Student Chapter also along with the students of the Department of Geology and Geophysics. It is one of the largest and most wide-reaching festivals of Earth Science in India with a foot fall of over 500 participants from more than 30 colleges from all over the country. PRITHVI has surpassed 4 golden years and it prides itself for having created an unmatched spectacle of science and Technology year after year. A Sneak Peek into PRITHVI 2014 The theme this year is "Integrating Academia and Geo-Technologies to meet the future Industrial Challenges" , which has been chosen to serve both the needs of the academic field and the industry alike. It will also help students to develop a better perspective of Geo-science in India. The fest is generally a plethora of events like Technical Case Study, Poster presentation, Panel discussion, Quiz, Field event that help students gain a lot of experience, knowledge and on top of it a handsome prize money. This time we aim to grow even bigger & better with a whole lot of new events, more competition and a prestigious Geological King's Crown to be given away to the college with the maximum points.
