About Event

Mechanica, the annual departmental technical festival of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Madras is one of the most popular inter-college fests in the country.Its back again with many more exciting events and challenges.The next edition of Mechanica will happen on 21st – 23rd March. Mechanica has embodied the flavor and experience of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras for many years. Events catering to every imaginable field of Mechanical Engineering ranging from IC engines to Robotics are an integral part of Mechanica along with attractive prizes and internships to be won. State of the art lectures and video conferences from diverse spheres of science and technology are organized to update the knowledge and skills of participants. Mechanica this year will also host a Student Innovators’ exhibition cum competition, which intends to serve as a platform for students to display their projects and product innovations. A wide variety of workshops have also been planned to cater to the needs of the student community.
