About Us
CSEA
Found in 1991, the Computer Science and Engineering Association of NIT Trichy has been striving as a breeding ground for new ideas and opportunities to learn; a platform to demonstrate technical competence in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. It was formed grounded in the firm principles to provide a platform for technocrats to showcase their prowess in fields of Computer Science and Information Technology. The Computer Science and Engineering Association hosts an annual national level technical symposium Vortex, an arena to bring together enthusiasts of various facets of Computer Science.
Recently social initiatives are being taken up under CSEA, known as Sparsh. It is to recognize our social responsibility as students of technical institution, to utilize the most important tool - Education in digital devices and systems, and to avail the children who face its lack.
Vortex
An amalgamation of workshops, events, guest lectures, Vortex was founded in the need to provide the students a ground to share, cultivate and enrich their comprehension with other like-minded enthusiasts.
Vortex was established to foster skills and knowledge in students by interactions with Academicians and Industry Experts, by hands-on approach through Workshops and by polishing their competitive edge through on-site as well as online events.
With every edition, Vortex evolves to develop itself as a more gainful platform for the students. Whether it be inviting speakers from different fields for guest lectures, workshops, events and outreach events to reach more students as well as more interests of the students; Vortex believes in doing things differently. To not take the conventional route, to understand the need of the students, to bridge students to the Industry better, to help students better understand and employ industry approaches; every year Vortex team works to tackle new challenges and learn from the mistakes of past.
Vortex'17 marks the 25th edition of Vortex.
