The Association of Radiant Mechanical Engineers (ARME) and the Editorial Board are delighted to bring out GNANA VAHINI, the Annual Department Magazine for the academic year 2026–2027. The magazine showcases the academic achievements, technical activities, student accomplishments, and memorable events organized by our department throughout the year.The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology is committed to nurturing competent engineers through a blend of academic excellence, practical learning, innovation, and industry-oriented exposure. Through ARME, the department regularly organizes technical events, workshops, competitions, and seminars that encourage students to develop their technical knowledge, creativity, leadership, and teamwork.

Mechanical Quiz – A technical quiz competition designed to strengthen students' fundamental engineering knowledge and promote healthy academic competition.

CAD Competition – An event that assessed students' proficiency in computer-aided design, encouraging creativity and precision in engineering design.

Water Rocketry – A hands-on activity that introduced students to the practical applications of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and propulsion through an exciting design challenge.

Gear Up – A technical event focused on mechanical components, gear mechanisms, and problem-solving, helping students enhance their analytical and practical skills.

Beams to Brilliance – A structural engineering challenge that encouraged participants to apply concepts of strength of materials and structural design through innovative model building.

HVAC Workshop – An industry-oriented workshop that provided practical knowledge on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems, bridging classroom learning with real-world applications.

Paper Presentation – A platform for students to present innovative research ideas and emerging technologies while enhancing their technical communication and presentation skills.

IoT Hackathon – An interdisciplinary event where students developed smart engineering solutions by integrating Mechanical Engineering concepts with the Internet of Things (IoT), fostering innovation and collaborative problem-solving.
