International Conference on 21st Century Learners : Learning Styles and Strategies

21st century English language learners come to classrooms with knowledge of places, languages, customs, and cultures. They come with optimism, energy, and unique perspectives of their own. Through interactions with teachers, classmates, and other learners they learn many things that enrich their lives and which enable them to face the increasingly diverse workplaces and communities. Today's learners will become valued members of tomorrow's global economy.

This International Conference is a platform to initiate discussion on learning styles and strategies and to evolve appropriate teaching materials and methods, classroom practices, and evaluation and hoping to find new avenues to meet the 21st century learners

A. From Central/ Egmore Railway Station, Chennai
By Train
Those coming from other states in India by train, should get down at the Chennai Central Station, come out and cross the high road through the pedestrian subway and reach PARK suburban metro railway station. Two destination trains are available from Park station to (i) Tambaram (ii) Chengalpattu. If you take the train to Chengalpattu, you can directly reach the SRM or Potheri railway station. SRM University is just opposite to the Potheri railway station. (Total Travel time from Chennai Central Railway Station to SRM University will be around one hour). From Egmore railway station you could directly board the local trains to reach SRM as metioned above.

B. From Tambaram
By Train
From Tambaram you can board trains to Chengalpattu to reach Potheri railway station. The University is just opposite to the railway station. By Bus
From Tambaram you can take buses to Chengalpattu and get down at SRM or Potheri stop. It is a 20 minute travel from Tambaram to SRM University.

C. From Airport
The nearest railway station from the Chennai Airport is Thrisulam, located opposite to the Airport. Get on a train towards Tambaram and follow the instructions given above for reaching SRM University.
