About the event
BioZion-The Biotech Capstone, International Biotechnology Conclave organised by Students of Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala with support of Kerala State Higher Education Council, Government of Kerala. Recognizing the relevance of biotechnology in the post pandemic era, we had chosen biotechnology as the major topic of discussion. Our biotechnology conclave is trying to bring together great minds from around the world and inspire a new generation of students to pursue the field and set a new benchmark in the Indian Biotechnology sector.

Meet the organizer
The College of Agriculture, Vellayani was established in May 1955 and continues as the Centre of undergraduate and Post Graduate education. The institution was set up in the palace building belonging to the royal family of erstwhile Travancore State. Within few years the College got sufficiently strengthened to claim parity with any other leading Agricultural Institution in India. Postgraduate programmes, leading to M.Sc. (Ag.) and PhD degrees were started in the college during 1962 and 1965 respectively.
