About the event
“The best way to create memories is to gather and share the ideas, creativity and innovations”. Presenting you the first ever IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Congress (RASC). The congress
comprises the events full with the information in the field of Robotics and Automation. The Robotics and Automation Society Chapter at IEEE Student Branch, Quantum School of Technology
aims at bringing together students and likeminded people to connect collaborate and exchange their thoughts. The goal of the congress is to create awareness about recent advancements in the field of robotics and automation.
Events & highlights
Wide range of sessions including distinguished lectures, competitions, collaborations and lot more. It is a grand opportunity to reveal and network. It will be the most surprising and mesmerizing event ever. This is a two days section level event with wide range of technological aspects.

Theme for Participants Presentation Session
Societal Impact of Robotics and Automation – The presentations are invited from the participants reflecting the benefits of robotics, automation and its allied technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning on the day to day life of the society. The presentation should contain the following parameters in the following order;
1. Title of the presentation
2. Name, affiliation and contact details of the participant
3. Brief introduction of the technology covered
4. How the technology covered is benefitting the society
The presentation can be submitted through email at ieee.qst@quantumeducation.in
The best three presentations in each session would be awarded with cash prizes and certificates.
Themes for Participants Panel Discussion Session
A panel discussion would be organized on any one of the following themes.
1. Would Robots Replace Humans?
2. Artificial Intelligence – A threat or Boon to the Society?
3. Artificial Intelligence – Creating unemployment?
4. Self-Driving Cars – Safe or Threat
One panel would consist of 10 to 15 participants for Discussion.

Non-IEEE Members – INR 1250/-
IEEE Members (Non – RAS Members) – INR 1000/-

How to Reach
The university is located on the main national highway (NH – 73) in Mandawar and is beside the Indian Oil Petrol Pump located in Mandawar Village on Roorkee – Saharanpur as well as Roorkee – Dehradun Road. Quantum is 22 km from Roorkee and falls 3 kilometers before the town of Chhutmalpur. Buses going from Roorkee to Saharanpur or to Dehradun can drop you at Quantum. Some smaller local buses and vehicles also ply on this route. Railway Stations of Roorkee & Saharanpur are most preferred to reach Quantum. Also, the stations of Haridwar & Dehradun are fairly accessible.
Accommodation Details
We can offer free accommodation to participants, on a room sharing basis in the hostels on campus on first-come-first-served basis. Participants, who wish to stay in a hotel, will have to make their own arrangements. However, the organizers shall be happy to assist in booking accommodations in nearby hotels upon request received well in advance.
